Sessions in deutsch and in English – face to face
and online.
Who this trauma therapy is for
This form of trauma therapy is aimed at people who carry a lot of weight.
My typical clients are:
People in leadership and decision-making positions
Competitive athletes at the national and international level
People with a high degree of self-control and inner tension
People who “function” but notice that the price they pay for doing so is increasing
The focus is not on diagnoses—but on regulation, stability, and inner freedom of action.
„After the first meeting, I was able to sleep through the night for the first time in a long time.“

Competitive athlete with international competition experience

Trauma therapy with over 20 years of experience
In my work, trauma therapy means:
Working with the nervous system, not just with content.
Stabilization instead of retraumatization.
Integration instead of just symptom control.
I work in a body-oriented way (Somatic Experiencing, Polarity Therapy), trauma-sensitive and at the client's pace.
The therapeutic relationship is clear, calm, and discreet.
Why I consciously work outside the health insurance system
My work is recognized by health insurance companies thanks to my certification as a Polarity Therapist according to OdA KT.
Nevertheless, I have consciously chosen to work in a private setting because it offers the following advantages:
Maximum discretion
Greater freedom in terms of time and methodology
Individual process design without specifications
Working with people without pathologizing them
„I am very impressed by this work, so effective, gentle, mindful, and trustworthy.
I felt I was in good hands.“
– S. J.

How I work
If you see your personal challenges as an opportunity for growth, you've come to the right place.
The type of trauma therapy I use to support my clients has an impact on all areas of their lives. I see this work as my calling and take a holistic approach that helps you free yourself from early influences and limiting conditioning, allowing you to increasingly embody the person you truly are.
Our work together is based on individual sessions, in person or online by arrangement.
Clear structure, yet process-oriented.
High presence, low technology overload.
Focus on self-regulation and inner sovereignty.
Many of my clients appreciate the sober, non-dramatic approach in our work.
Training and professional fundamentals
Starting with the intro in 2002, I completed the three-year training course in Somatic Experiencing (SE) in Switzerland and graduated in 2005 with a diploma as a “Somatic Experiencing Practitioner©” (SEP). I have assisted in numerous SE training and further education courses in Switzerland and abroad.
My therapeutic background lies in the OdA KT-recognized method of Polarity Therapy and the corresponding diploma as a Registered Polarity Practitioner (RPP). I have now had the privilege of accompanying people from all over the world in over 15,000 sessions and work in my own practice in Zurich as well as online worldwide. As a father of two adult children myself, I also enjoy working with children and adolescents.
My therapeutic experience includes, among other things:
Pre-, peri-, and postnatal traumatic stress
Traumatic childhood experiences
Relationship difficulties of all kinds
AD(H)D, autism
Abuse of all kinds
Simple and complex post-traumatic stress disorders
High sensitivity
Highly conflictual situations
Difficult divorces
Challenging marital and family situations

FAQ
-
In my approach, we do not need to know, remember or name "the trauma" if this is not possible or not desired.
While many approaches look one-sidedly at "the problem" or "the resources", my integrative approach focuses on the potential between the two.
-
In this work, we strive for liberation and more embodiment of who and what you are. If this interests you, you could book a trial session.
-
Somatic Experiencing is not recognized by health insurance companies. Polarity Therapy is recognized, but I have actively chosen to work free of this system and focus on self-paying clients.
Depending on the issue, a great deal can be achieved in 2 or 3 sessions, so it is worth giving it a try. After a first session, I can give you a precise assessment.
Sometimes institutions such as victim support or insurance companies pay for a series of sessions after accidents.
-
Therapy is usually started because of symptoms. If these improve, you are basically on the right track.
A caveat: if you have a headache and take medication for it, the pain will also improve - but the underlying cause has not been addressed.
In my approach, we get to the root of the matter.
-
We arrange all appointments in person.
-
The cancellation policy is as follows:
You can cancel free of charge at any time up to 4 hours before your appointment.
If you cancel later than this, we will charge you for the planned session costs. Thank you for your understanding.
-
Online sessions, e.g. via Zoom or Signal Messenger video calls, are possible at any time.
